I was born and raised in farm country, Minnesota, and remain a 'Sota girl through and through! Growing up, I never knew I would want to be an event planner/decorator, but I have always had a niche for the industry.
​
I live just outside of Alexandria with my husband, two boys, and our fur baby. Outside of working events, you will most likely find me snuggled under a blanket at home, at the rink cheering on my boys, or spending quality time with my family/friends. Black is my favorite color. Spaghetti is my favorite food. I prefer beer over wine. I don't drink coffee. And warm weather is my jam.
I can't wait to connect with you and work toward planning the wedding/event of your dreams!

The Creations Story
Keith & Lois Schmdigall opened "Creations, an Event Studio" in January 2012. As an AIFD and AAF inductee, Lois and her design team have been stage designers for Say Yes to the Dress' Randy Fenoli and Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta - David Tutera Designs. She was also the floral designer for the 2004 Presidential Inauguration! SO COOL!

In 2020, "Creations, an Event Studio" teamed up with Karla and the "'Sota Weddings & Events" team, to expand the client experience by offering event planning and decor setup/teardown.

In 2022, "Creations, an Event Studio" and "'Sota Weddings & Events" merged/rebranded to become the business you know today as
Creations by 'Sota Weddings & Events.
Amanda "Rosie" Hufford

Any and all things floral related are Rosie's jam. She especially loves designing and curating bridal bouquets, meeting with brides, and seeing wedding day visions come to life.

Outside of being a floral guru, Rosie loves spending time with her sweet boy and at the farm with their cows, especially when there are babies!

Her Grandmother was a floral designer, and her Grandfather was a rose grower!

With many years of design experience under her belt, Mary loves using her creativity and expertise to create fresh new designs with a personal touch [and love] for weddings.

When she's not meeting with clients or elbows deep in floral designs, Mary is an avid reader and loves volunteering at our local library.
Holly Wallerich
Lead Setup Crew Member

Holly can be found offsite leading our setup crew in the thorough execution of your full event floral/decor setup [if this is a service that you contract our team to do].
In her spare time (outside of her full-time gig), you will likely find her with her girls, as a production assistant at the theatre, or on the lake.
With caring ways, a heart of goal and always going above and beyond to help others. Let Karla’s radiant inspirations, attention to detail and going the extra mile bring your wedding or any occasion to life.She will be right beside you from start to finish!! You will absolutely love her!
